About the Role

- Drive an Incident Free environment through establishing and maintaining a strong safety culture
- Lead cross discipline maintenance Engineers & coordinators to provide robust PPM and CM data
- Provide first level specialist technical advice and guidance on maintenance of plant/equipment troubleshooting
- Provide Instrumentation & Metering technical and administrative support to site base operations
- Perform risk analysis on deferrals raised on Safety and environmental critical elements
- Accountable for non routine maintenance expenses and spare parts stock value in discipline
- Develop scope of intervention for major preventive and corrective maintenance
- Review and challenge design of brown field modification and greenfield project for maintainability
- Manage repair process for critical Instrument & Metering equipment
- Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports
- Ensure 4 months and 5 weeks planning are optimized and attend weekly IOP meetings
- Act as contract representative with ownership and cost management responsibility for key 3rd party operational support services
Requirements
- B.Sc. / Engineering Degree or industry recognized technical qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in the oil and gas industry in a similar role
- At least 3 years in supervisory roles
- Strong leadership skills in a multi cultural and highly technical specialized environment
- Thorough understanding and application of industry process safety guidelines and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of cross discipline maintenance requirements, CMMS and planning processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead a large team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Job Dimensions
- Key role in short term maintenance preparation and support for execution.
- Administrate all Instrument & Metering stocks as Technical Administrator (TADM) for the INS Lab office, managing equipment stock valued at 25M$.
- Responsible for ~7 contracts within the M&I Electrical & Instrumentation Department valued at 6M$/year.
- Provide input to Head of Electrical & Instrumentation for annual operational and capital budgets.
- Responsible for approving SAP work orders daily with values up to $50k.
- Interactions with external stakeholders (Qatar Petroleum / Contractor Management).
Context and Environment
- Position is in a Joint Venture Operating Company on the Al Shaheen oil and gas field, one of the largest offshore fields in the world.
- Role is onshore based in Doha, Qatar, permanent staff position on a residential basis (5 day working week).
- Requires regular offshore trips and visits to contractor offices and facilities.

- Versatile, resilient and able to interact effectively with direct reports, peers and Senior Management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a large team.
