Role overview

What you will own

• Lead technical design and execution for major products, features, and engineering initiatives.
• Design scalable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Code, prototype, review code, debug issues, and solve production problems.
• Set standards for quality, system design, testing, security, observability, and reliability.
• Review designs and code, mentor engineers, and strengthen technical capability.
• Identify risks and architectural weaknesses before they become larger problems.
• Improve tooling, development practices, automation, and production reliability.

What we are looking for

• Strong software engineering background with significant production-system experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one area such as backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong system design and architecture skills for complex or high-scale systems.
• Strong coding ability and willingness to remain hands-on.
• Experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership.
• Comfort with code review, complex debugging, and direct work on production systems.
• Ability to explain technical decisions, influence engineers, connect work to outcomes, and operate with ambiguity.
• Strong judgment about speed, simplification, and deeper engineering investment.
• Strong English communication is required for global teamwork.

Workplace

• This is a hybrid role requiring work from the local office at least three days per week.
• The remaining days offer flexibility to work remotely.
• Candidates should be based in, or able to work from, the advertised location.

Interview process

• The process includes an online assessment or practical task, a technical interview, and a CEO or final round.
