The Role

What You’ll Own

• Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend, and full-stack development.
• Own engineering delivery for major product areas without compromising reliability or technical quality.
• Work with product, design, mobile, backend, and AI teams to turn ambiguous product problems into clear technical execution.
• Drive architecture and engineering decisions across APIs, databases, integrations, infrastructure, and customer-facing systems.
• Set standards for code quality, system design, testing, observability, security, and production reliability.
• Stay involved through architecture reviews, code reviews, debugging, and critical engineering decisions.
• Coach engineers, manage performance, set expectations, and address performance gaps.
• Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation to help the team operate at scale.
• Monitor production systems, resolve incidents, identify root causes, and prevent recurring problems.
• Build a culture focused on ownership, speed, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong software engineering background with experience building and shipping production systems.
• Experience leading or managing software engineers and owning engineering delivery.
• Technical depth across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to make architecture and technical trade-offs involving speed, scalability, and maintainability.
• Track record of taking products or systems from idea through development, launch, and production.
• Ability to review designs, challenge decisions, and debug complex production issues.
• Strong people leadership, product sense, ownership, and ability to work with ambiguity.
• Ability to connect engineering decisions to customer and business outcomes.
• Strong English communication skills.

Leadership Expectations

Location and Work Pattern

• This is a hybrid role.
• Employees are expected to work from the local office at least three days per week, with remaining days offering flexibility to work remotely.
• Candidates should be based in or able to work from the location where the role is advertised.

Language

• English is the main working language across global teams, and strong English communication is required.

Interview Process

• The process includes an online assessment or practical task, a technical or engineering leadership interview, and a CEO or final round.
• For strong candidates, the company aims to complete the process and make an offer within one week from the start of interviewing.
