Role Overview
The Lead Engineer will govern specifications, standards, and strategies for TAQA Distribution's power asset base.
The role supports consistent, cost-effective service delivery and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
General Responsibilities
- Ensure policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls comply with delegation of authority and legislative requirements.
- Complete reports on time and prepare periodic management and progress reports for senior management decision-making.
- Comply with organizational requirements in a timely manner.
Job-Specific Responsibilities
- Review and implement power asset specifications, standards, and strategies and monitor their implementation.
- Establish a framework for developing, maintaining, and controlling power asset standards and specifications.
- Communicate and train stakeholders on standards and procedures through systems, materials, and programs.
- Govern electricity specifications and standards for alignment with business targets and consistency across directorates.
- Review technical procurement tender evaluations for materials and equipment used in major and private projects.
- Support vendor prequalification for electricity materials and factories and maintain relationships with approved vendors.
