Job Description
The Laundry Technician is responsible for general repair and maintenance of the hotel's laundry plumbing and electrical systems.
What You Will Be Doing
- Maintain and service all laundry equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain laundry equipment in accordance with relevant codes.
- Perform preventive maintenance and complete equipment turnover efficiently.
- Count and make periodic rounds through the laundry to maintain security measures.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies according to hotel policy and standards.
- Operate safely and in an environmentally friendly manner.
- Comply with hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in the position is a strong asset.
- Hospitality industry experience is preferred.
- Mechanical and technical certification is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities are required.
- The role requires responsibility, reliability, communication, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure.
Physical Requirements
- The role involves constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
- The role includes frequent lifting and carrying of up to 20 pounds.
- The role may involve kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
Additional Information
Selected candidates must be eligible to live and work in Dubai.
