About the Role

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
• A professional qualification such as CFA, MBA, Certified Credit Qualification, or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Ten to fifteen years of banking experience, including substantial Large Corporate Banking or Corporate Banking experience, is required.
• A proven track record managing large corporate relationships and complex financing transactions is required.
• Strong credit analysis and credit proposal preparation experience is required.
• Experience with large-ticket corporate financing transactions is required.
• Exposure to syndicated finance, project finance, structured finance, and real estate finance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with a local Qatar bank or GCC bank is highly preferred.
• Experience in Islamic banking is strongly preferred.
• Arabic and English language proficiency is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong corporate financial analysis and credit risk assessment skills are required.
• Expertise in financial modeling and cash flow analysis is required.
• Knowledge of corporate lending and large corporate relationship management is required.
• Knowledge of Islamic financing structures and Sharia-compliant banking products is preferred.
• Knowledge of trade finance, letters of credit, and bank guarantees is required.
• Experience in syndicated financing and structured corporate lending is required.
• Understanding of collateral structures, pricing, and profitability management is required.
• Knowledge of KYC, AML, Central Bank regulations, and banking compliance requirements is required.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills are required.
• Strong commercial acumen, business development, problem-solving, decision-making, integrity, accountability, and professional judgment are expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand relationships with large corporate and semi-government clients.
• Grow the bank's financing portfolio, deposits, fee income, and overall profitability.
• Maintain strong credit quality and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to Sharia principles and applicable banking requirements.
• Prepare and evaluate credit proposals for complex corporate financing transactions.
• Manage corporate lending, pricing, collateral structures, and profitability.
• Engage senior executives and decision-makers through effective communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
