The Kitchen Steward maintains the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas.
The role ensures kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces are clean and ready for culinary teams.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools.
- Coordinate cleaning and polishing of silverware, glassware, and chinaware.
- Assist with inventory of kitchen and dining equipment.
- Remove garbage and waste from kitchen areas in a timely manner.
- Support food preparation and setup for meal services.
- Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards in kitchen and dining areas.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness in food storage areas.
- Collaborate with stewarding supervisors and managers to complete tasks efficiently.
- Report damaged or malfunctioning kitchen equipment to the supervisor.
- Set up and clean up kitchen and dining areas for service.
- Follow safety guidelines and company environmental, health, and safety procedures.
Safety and Environmental Standards
- Operate safely and in an environmentally friendly manner to protect guests and colleagues and support environmental conservation.
