Job Summary

Cleaning and Washing

• Wash, clean, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean kitchen floors, walls, work surfaces, sinks, drains, and other assigned areas.
• Keep dishwashing and pot-wash areas clean and organized.
• Remove food waste and garbage according to company procedures.

Food Safety and Hygiene

• Follow company food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain personal hygiene and wear the required uniform and PPE.
• Prevent cross-contamination through proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely according to instructions.
• Report hygiene, pest, equipment, or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Kitchen Support and Waste

• Provide clean plates, utensils, cookware, and equipment to the kitchen team when required.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and support duties.
• Keep storage areas clean, organized, and free from unnecessary items.
• Collect and dispose of food and general waste, keeping bins and waste areas clean and covered.

Health, Safety, and Conduct

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use PPE when handling hot items, chemicals, waste, or cleaning equipment.
• Take care around hot water, hot cookware, slippery floors, and cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain clear and safe walkways and report accidents, hazards, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen and service teams, follow instructions, maintain attendance, and perform other reasonable duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, Stewarding Attendant, or similar role is preferred.
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks is required.
• Teamwork, time management, attention to cleanliness, and flexibility for shifts are required.

Working Conditions

• Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to water, heat, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment.
• The role requires prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and carrying.
• Shift work, including weekends and public holidays, may be required.
• Work location is in person.

Pay

• AED 1,200 to AED 1,700 per month.
