Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize kitchen stations before service, including sorting, washing, and storing ingredients and utensils
- Assist chefs by chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and performing basic food prep tasks as directed
- Maintain strict cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and storage zones per UAE food safety regulations
- Dispose of waste properly, manage inventory of disposable items, and assist in restocking supplies as needed
- Support kitchen operations during peak hours, including plating, dishwashing, and clearing prep areas post service
- Follow supervisors’ instructions accurately and communicate any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and UAE food safety standards
- Experience in commercial kitchen environments (even entry level)
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 20kg when handling supplies
- Proficiency in following verbal instructions in English or Arabic
- Familiarity with kitchen tools: knives, peelers, blenders, steamers, fryers
- Valid UAE residence visa and eligibility to work on site in Dubai or Sharjah
