Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, fryers, grills, steamers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, and food preparation equipment
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, gas, and refrigeration faults and perform corrective maintenance
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and servicing according to established schedules
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Replace defective parts and ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Test equipment after repairs to verify proper functionality and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for specialized repairs and spare parts procurement
- Provide technical support and guidance to kitchen staff on proper equipment operation and care
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary
Requirements
- Strong hands on experience with commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, fryers, grills, steamers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers
- Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, gas, and refrigeration faults
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures
