About the Role
Zuma Doha is seeking a Junior Sushi Sous Chef to mentor the sushi team, maintain mise en place, and craft sushi creations in a luxury Japanese restaurant. The ideal candidate has proven experience in a high-volume luxury restaurant and a passion for Japanese cuisine.

Responsibilities
- Maintain all mise en place at a sufficient level to ensure uninterrupted flow of food during service
- Mentor the sushi team, providing training, guidance, and support to maintain Zuma standards
- Consistently strive for quality of service and consistency in guest experience
- Evaluate guest experiences, implement service improvements, and strive for consistency in exceptional hospitality
- Work alongside Sous Chef and Head Sushi Chef to craft and refine sushi creations with seasonal ingredients
Requirements
- Proven experience as Junior Sushi Sous Chef or higher in a luxury high volume restaurant
- Passion for Japanese cuisine
- Natural team player
- Customer oriented and skilled at creating memorable dining experiences

Main Duties
- To maintain all mise en place at a sufficient level to ensure an uninterrupted flow of food during the service period whilst controlling the quality, consistency, appearance and taste.
- To mentor the sushi team, providing training, guidance, and support to maintain Zuma standards.
- To consistently strive for quality of service and consistency in our experience to our guests.
- Evaluate guest experiences, implement service improvements, and strive for consistency in delivering exceptional hospitality.
- Work alongside the Sous Chef and Head Sushi Chef to craft and refine sushi creations, incorporating seasonal ingredients and unique culinary concepts.

- Proven experience as Junior Sushi Sous Chef or higher in a luxury high volume restaurant.
