About the Role
Zuma Abu Dhabi is looking for a Junior Sushi Sous Chef to mentor the sushi team and maintain high culinary standards. The ideal candidate has proven experience in a luxury high-volume restaurant and a passion for Japanese cuisine.

Responsibilities
- Maintain all mise en place at a sufficient level to ensure an uninterrupted flow of food during service while controlling quality, consistency, appearance and taste
- Mentor the sushi team, providing training, guidance, and support to maintain Zuma standards
- Consistently strive for quality of service and consistency in the guest experience
- Evaluate guest experiences, implement service improvements, and strive for consistency in delivering exceptional hospitality
- Work alongside the Head Sushi Chef and Sushi Sous Chef to craft and refine sushi creations, incorporating seasonal ingredients and unique culinary concepts
Requirements
- Proven experience as Junior Sushi Sous Chef or higher in a luxury high volume restaurant
- A genuine love for culinary experiences and a passion for Japanese cuisine
- A natural team player who is at home working in sync with a large team
- Naturally friendly, customer oriented, and skilled at creating memorable dining experiences

Main Duties
- To maintain all mise en place at a sufficient level to ensure an uninterrupted flow of food during the service period whilst controlling the quality, consistency, appearance and taste.
- To mentor the sushi team, providing training, guidance, and support to maintain Zuma standards.
