Role Overview
- As a Zuma Junior Sushi Sous Chef, you'll be at the heart of our guest experience. You'll create memorable moments, embody our vibrant restaurant energy, and play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards that define the Zuma experience.
- Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection, inspired by the dynamic Izakaya dining style.
Main Duties
- To maintain all mise en place at a sufficient level to ensure an uninterrupted flow of food during the service period whilst controlling the quality, consistency, appearance and taste
- To mentor the sushi team, providing training, guidance, and support to maintain Zuma standards
- To consistently strive for quality of service and consistency in our experience to our guests
- Evaluate guest experiences, implement service improvements, and strive for consistency in delivering exceptional hospitality
- Work alongside the Sous Chef and Head Sushi Chef to craft and refine sushi creations, incorporating seasonal ingredients and unique culinary concepts
