- Monitor and enforce food safety, hygiene, grooming, and health & safety standards
- Assist in controlling food costs, minimizing waste, and optimizing kitchen resources
- Stay current with culinary trends and techniques, contributing innovative ideas to enhance menu offerings
Requirements
- Strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead and coach kitchen teams
- 3 5 years of experience in a Junior Sous Chef role or similar within luxury hospitality or high end restaurants
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices
- Completion of a Culinary Arts training programme from a reputable institution (advantage)

About the Job
- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sous Chef to join Jumeirah Al Qasr from September 2026 onwards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the management of daily kitchen operations, ensuring the consistent delivery of high quality food and exceptional guest experiences.
- Supervise assigned kitchen section(s), maintaining excellence in food quality, presentation, portion control, stock management, and cleanliness standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop culinary team members through hands on training, guidance, and performance support to maintain operational excellence.
- Monitor and enforce food safety, hygiene, grooming, and health & safety standards in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in controlling food costs, minimizing waste, and optimizing kitchen resources while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Stay current with culinary trends and techniques, contributing innovative ideas to enhance menu offerings and overall kitchen performance.
About You
- Strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead, coach, and support kitchen teams in a fast paced operation.
- 3–5 years of experience in a Junior Sous Chef role or a similar position within luxury hospitality or high end restaurant environments.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices.
- Completion of a Culinary Arts training programme from a reputable institution is considered an advantage.
