Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is seeking a motivated Junior Sous Chef for its culinary team.
The hands-on role supports kitchen operations while developing leadership skills in a fast-paced professional environment.
The position focuses on food quality, consistency, culinary innovation, and a collaborative kitchen culture.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and service delivery.
- Lead and mentor kitchen team members and coordinate with front-of-house staff.
- Manage inventory, stock rotation, cost control, workflow, and station assignments.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, sanitation, quality, and presentation standards.
- Assist with menu development, recipe testing, culinary innovation, and staff training.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar sous chef or kitchen leadership role in a premium or high-volume restaurant.
- Culinary degree, diploma, or equivalent professional culinary training.
- Current Food Handler and HACCP certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, kitchen equipment, and kitchen operations.
