About the Role
Al Tayer Insignia is seeking a Junior Associate Buyer to support the purchasing of luxury beauty merchandise. The role involves coordinating with buyers and brands, managing product samples, and compiling brand portfolios.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and follow up on tasks assigned by Buyers and Divisional Manager
- Coordinate with brands / principals to collate product samples and ensure availability for marketing and online shoots
- Manage and coordinate the animation calendar for all temporary podium locations across Department stores and mono stores
- Follow up with principals / suppliers to ensure collection of delisted products returned to vendors
- Coordinate with suppliers and store teams to ensure sufficient supply of testers within all stores
- Compile all brand portfolios in the brand library for potential new brands
- Consolidate buying feedback reports and provide Buyers with reports and recommendations per brand portfolio
- Assist the Buyer in researching and selecting the best quality merchandise to offer at the best price to maximize sales and profit margins
Requirements
- High School in any discipline followed by qualification in Retailing or Retail Management / Purchase / Sales or related programs
- Good knowledge and experience in the related industry through work experience with international principals
- Buying experience and expertise typically gained over a period of at least 1–5 years
- Beauty industry and brand knowledge
- Competent in Excel and other Microsoft Office Tools
- Communication skills
- Inter personal skills
- Organizational skills
- Team player
- English

Job Purpose
- Support senior team members with purchases of high quality merchandise at advantageous prices to meet merchandising standards and sales/profit targets.

Education / Certification and Continued Education
