Job Overview
Salt is looking for Junior AI Software Engineers to join their growing engineering team and build AI-powered products and applications. This role is ideal for software engineers with 2-4 years of experience in Generative AI, LLMs, or AI applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain AI-powered applications, APIs, and services
- Develop scalable backend and full-stack software
- Integrate LLMs, AI APIs, and third-party services
- Contribute to RAG, AI agents, and agentic workflows
- Work with cloud technologies, primarily Azure
- Use modern engineering practices including Docker, Git, testing, and CI/CD
- Collaborate with senior engineers, AI specialists, and product teams
Requirements
- 2-4 years of commercial software engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java
- Experience with APIs, backend development, and modern software engineering practices
- Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, and CI/CD
- Genuine interest in Generative AI and AI application development
