Role Overview
The employer is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and detail-oriented General Accountant to join the finance team.
The role covers daily accounting functions, including payables, receivables, general ledgers, filings, and internal audit support.
Prior accounting experience from the candidate's home country will be recognized and considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage vendor invoices, client billings, payment receipts, and timely follow-ups for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Record daily financial transactions, post journal entries, and maintain accurate basic general ledgers.
- Assist with routine internal audits, maintain audit trails, and support compliance with internal accounting standards.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital accounting files, invoices, receipts, and financial records.
- Support monthly reconciliations and standard financial reports prepared by the senior accounting team.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience as a General Accountant, with home-country experience considered.
- Strong practical knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, accounting filing, and basic internal audit principles.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is stated as a requirement.
- The candidate should be proactive, enthusiastic, a quick learner, and attentive to detail.
Compensation
- The posting states pay of AED 2,200 to AED 3,500 per month.
- Company-provided accommodation is offered.
Workplace
- The work location is in person in Dubai.
- Candidates should be able to reliably commute to Dubai or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package.
