Role Description
The Jr Fire Alarm Engineer (UPDA Trainee grade) is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar.
The position assists with fire alarm and related fire protection system design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
The role supports site surveys, technical documentation, troubleshooting, project coordination, inspections, records, and safety improvements.
Responsibilities
- Assist with fire alarm and fire protection system design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Support senior engineers during site surveys and help prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with project teams for timely completion.
- Participate in inspections, verify system functionality, and maintain work records.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and participate in training and development as a UPDA Trainee.
Qualifications
- Skills in fire protection engineering and safety engineering for fire alarm design, evaluation, and maintenance.
- Understanding of fire safety and life safety principles and familiarity with fire suppression systems.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, fire protection engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of NFPA, Qatar Civil Defense regulations, and relevant industry standards is advantageous.
- Technical documentation skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
- Communication skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work safely in an on-site team environment.
- UPDA Trainee eligibility or willingness to pursue UPDA registration is beneficial.
