About the Role
CNS Middle East is hiring a Joinery Draftsman for a full-time, on-site role in the UAE. The position involves preparing detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and cutting lists for joinery and interior fit-out works.

Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and cutting lists for joinery, furniture, and interior fit out works in accordance with project specifications and standards
- Interpret architectural and interior design drawings
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and production teams
- Ensure drawings are accurate, buildable, and aligned with site conditions
- Update drawings based on client or consultant comments
- Maintain organized drawing records and revisions
- Support material take offs and BOQs related to joinery elements
- Collaborate closely with the workshop and site teams to resolve technical issues and optimize production efficiency
Requirements
- Proficiency in technical drafting and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) for detailed joinery and fit out drawings
- Strong knowledge of joinery construction methods, materials (timber, veneers, laminates, hardware), and fabrication processes
- Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate architectural, interior design, MEP, and structural drawings
- Experience preparing shop drawings, cutting lists, and detailed sections/elevations for furniture, doors, wardrobes, counters, and other custom joinery items
- Attention to detail, accuracy in dimensions, and strong spatial and visualization skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project managers, engineers, designers, and workshop teams
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple drawing packages and revisions under tight deadlines
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field; relevant joinery drafting certifications are an advantage
- Previous experience in joinery or interior fit out drafting within the GCC region is preferred
- Working proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional regional language skills are a plus
