***Position :-*** Japanese Cook Assistant
***Location :*****-** Abu Dhabi
***Job Description :-***The Japanese Cook Assistant supports the Head Chef and kitchen team in preparing authentic Japanese dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations.
The role requires basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine and a willingness to learn traditional cooking techniques.
***Responsibilities :-***
*Food Preparation*
Assist in the preparation of Japanese dishes such as sushi, sashimi, ramen, tempura, and other menu items
Prepare ingredients (cutting, slicing, marinating, portioning) as instructed by the chef
Ensure freshness and proper storage of raw materials
*Kitchen Support*
Support chefs during service hours to ensure timely food delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
Follow kitchen procedures and recipes accurately
*Hygiene & Safety*
Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen
Follow food safety regulations and company policies
Ensure proper handling of seafood and raw ingredients
*Inventory & Storage*
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
Monitor stock levels and report shortages
Ensure proper labeling and FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
Qualifications :-
- Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine (preferred)
- Previous kitchen or helper experience is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take instructions
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary training or certification (preferred but not mandatory)
