Job Summary

  • The Golf Course General Manager is responsible for the overall management, operation, and financial performance of the golf course facility.
  • Oversees all departments including golf operations, course maintenance, food & beverage outlets, pro shop, events, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of golf course, clubhouse, pro shop, and related facilities; ensure high standards; monitor tee time management, member services, tournaments, and guest activities.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and operational expenses; monitor revenue streams; implement cost control measures.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise department heads and staff; foster professional work environment; conduct staff evaluations.
  • Guest & Member Experience: Ensure high standards of customer service; address complaints and feedback; develop programs to enhance satisfaction.
  • Event & Tournament Management: Plan and oversee golf tournaments, corporate outings, and social events; coordinate with event planners, sponsors, and vendors.
  • Marketing & Business Development: Promote memberships, golf packages, and events; collaborate with marketing teams; build relationships with corporate clients.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental practices; maintain proper documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in golf course management, club management, or hospitality leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of golf operations, turf management coordination, and clubhouse operations.
  • Excellent leadership, financial management, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and operational priorities.
