Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, bone, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications
- Weigh, package, label, and price cuts of meat for retail sale
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools
- Monitor inventory and ensure safe meat storage
- Receive, inspect, and store meat deliveries to ensure freshness and quality
- Provide excellent customer service, including taking special requests
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, including HACCP standards
- Dispose of waste and by products appropriately
- Operate and maintain meat processing equipment such as slicers, grinders, and bandsaws
Requirements
- Proven experience as a butcher or in a meat processing role
- Knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and storage procedures
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Physical stamina to lift and handle heavy carcasses and equipment

Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, bone, and prepare various types of meat (beef, lamb, poultry, etc.) according to specifications
- Weigh, package, label, and price cuts of meat for retail sale
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools
- Monitor inventory and ensure safe meat storage
- Receive, inspect, and store meat deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications & Skills
