Role Overview
Emirates Islamic is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to support the Head of Internal Audit, Portfolio Head, or Portfolio Lead.
The role provides internal audit services and subject matter expertise across financial crime compliance, retail banking, and banking operations.
The role includes business process audits, project assignments, and ad hoc review work under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver audit services focused on control environment improvements that protect and enhance the group's financial position.
- Ensure audit findings are addressed in a timely manner.
- Conduct audits that add value to the business.
- Support a contemporary and innovative Internal Audit function that drives efficiency and service quality.
- Maintain professional working relationships with business stakeholders.
- Complete audit documentation and reporting in line with the Audit Manual and applicable standards.
- Ensure observations are fact-supported, drafted to departmental standards, and agreed with management.
- Drive or participate in department strategic initiatives and innovation programs.
- Drive or participate in staff engagement activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Recognized professional accounting qualification.
- Banking or financial services audit experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, processes, and activities.
- Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards and Basel regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
