About the Role
Petrofac is seeking a Mechanical QC Inspector for oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves receiving inspection, preservation checks, and quality control of mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities
- Carry out receiving inspection for mechanical equipment delivered to construction site
- Periodically check material lay down and warehouse areas for proper equipment storage
- Ensure equipment foundations are released by Civil QC Inspector
- Check periodic preservation records are maintained
- Ensure required testing is performed on equipment while in storage
- Ensure equipment manual is available at site for review
- Ensure completion of all mechanical activities on site as per client’s requirements
- Review mechanical jobs for progress and prepare daily surveillance audits
- Witness dimensional checks, alignment checks of equipment
- Witness bolt torque/tightening/tensioning of bolted connections
- Facilitate inspection of all mechanical jobs by the client
- Review equipment certification and documentation for compliance
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Thorough working knowledge of International Codes and Standards, specifically ASME and API Codes
- Minimum years of experience as Mechanical QC Inspector
- Experience in oil & gas/petrochemical industry
- Previously worked with major EPC contractors or their subcontractors
