Role Overview

The supervisor reports to the In Room Dining Manager and oversees in-room dining service functions.

Responsibilities

  • Offer professional, engaging, and friendly service consistently.
  • Maintain a professional presentation at all times.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by following in-room dining service standards.
  • Assist employees as needed to support the best possible service.
  • Ensure special events and amenities are presented according to guest and hotel specifications.
  • Maintain stock controls using pars and orders.
  • Enforce security controls, including keys, lockdown procedures, and beverage stock control.
  • Assign side work and record attendance.
  • Inspect staff uniforms, cleanliness, identification, and presentation.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees.
  • Supervise all in-room dining colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous luxury hotel, restaurant, or in-room dining experience is preferred.
  • Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm, professional, and courteous.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Commitment to exceptional guest experiences and maintaining LQA Standards.

Workplace

  • The role is based in a luxury hotel and requires in-person hospitality service.
