About The Role

• This role plays a key part in shaping the onboard entertainment experience for millions of Qatar Airways passengers worldwide.
• It leads the curation, scheduling, and day‑to‑day operational management of content across inflight entertainment (IFE), Live TV, Video‑on‑Demand (VOD), and related digital platforms.
• By ensuring content libraries are accurately programmed, refreshed, and delivered in line with aircraft content cycles and audience insights, the role brings engaging, culturally diverse stories to life at 35,000 feet.
• Working closely with global content partners, internal operational teams, and technology providers, the position helps create a world‑class entertainment offering that reflects Qatar Airways’ premium brand promise and elevates the passenger journey at every touchpoint.
• As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but are not limited to the following:
• Ensure seamless availability of inflight entertainment content, measured by on-time deployment and schedule accuracy, by building and managing content schedules across VOD libraries, Live TV channels, and IFE entertainment cycles.
• Increase passenger engagement across audience segments, measured by content consumption trends, by curating playlists and programming across genres, regions, and demographics including movies, TV series, kids, sports, and regional content.
• Improve content discoverability and engagement, measured by browse-to-play and completion rates, by curating themevvvd collections, featured playlists, and bundled content experiences.
• Support editorial and thematic storytelling, measured by alignment with programming themes, by creating curated content bundles connected to seasonal or narrative-based experiences.
• Ensure licensing and regulatory compliance, measured by zero compliance breaches, by enforcing territory restrictions, content rights limitations, and regulatory requirements.

Qualification

• About you
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 5 years of job-related experience.
• Strong experience in broadcast programming, OTT content scheduling, or IFE entertainment planning.
• Demonstrated ability to curate content libraries, playlists, and programming schedules across multiple platforms.
• Proven experience in broadcast programming, OTT content scheduling, or inflight entertainment (IFE) planning.
• Demonstrated ability to curate, schedule, and manage content libraries and playlists across multiple platforms.
• Strong knowledge of metadata management, cataloguing systems, and content classification frameworks.
• Experience managing large digital content libraries, multi‑platform pipelines, and complex scheduling and refresh cycles.
• Strong editorial judgement with the ability to coordinate effectively with content providers, distributors, and internal operational teams across global markets.
• Preferred exposure
• Experience with airline inflight entertainment (IFE), Content Service Providers (CSPs), OTT platforms, or digital media programming environments.
• Familiarity with content scheduling tools, media asset management systems, catalogue platforms, and content performance analytics.
• Understanding of global entertainment markets, multicultural programming strategies, and content licensing, rights, and territory restrictions.
