Role Overview
The role is responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and supervising ICT infrastructure and systems throughout the project.
The position provides technical leadership for scalable, resilient, secure, and future-ready ICT infrastructure supporting airport operations, SAS, ORAT, and digital transformation.
Technical Responsibilities
- Lead ICT infrastructure design and optimization and review architecture, data centers, network, cloud, disaster recovery, and security solutions.
- Coordinate stakeholder requirements, technical submissions, shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and equipment proposals.
- Supervise site installation, testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, inspections, and resolution of non-conformances.
- Coordinate contractors, designers, clients, and disciplines and monitor quality, progress, risks, interfaces, and technical constraints.
- Review as-built drawings, O&M documentation, handover deliverables, reports, and project correspondence.
Architecture and Systems Scope
- Define architecture principles and governance for Tier III/Tier IV data centers, cloud infrastructure, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity.
- Ensure integration between ICT infrastructure and airport operational systems.
- Address cybersecurity, data protection, network segregation, IT/OT separation, and secure ICT infrastructure design.
- Support integration of OT, SCADA, IoT, building management, physical security, and smart building systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics and electrical communication engineering, computer and systems engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of IT infrastructure architecture, network, data center, SAS, and ICT systems experience.
- Professional engineering registration with a recognized engineering body.
- Experience in design review, technical coordination, site supervision, and all project design and handover stages.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, infrastructure security, international standards, data center tiers, airport systems, and complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication, coordination, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal English skills; Arabic, relevant architecture or security certifications, and PMP are advantages.
