Identify hazards, assess risks, implement safety controls, and advise management and employees on accident prevention and occupational health.
HSE Responsibilities
- Inspect locations, monitor workforce performance, and promote compliance with HSE manuals, client standards, and safe work practices.
- Conduct HSE inspections, audits, permit-to-work activities, PPE assessments, Job Safety Analyses, and behavioral safety analysis.
- Promote hazard and near-miss reporting and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure incidents are reported, recorded, investigated, and maintained in required reports.
- Review legal and contractual HSE compliance and report noncompliance with required actions.
- Coordinate safety equipment procurement, HSE meetings, client reviews, and corrective action follow-up.
- Stop work when imminent danger exists and conduct emergency drills, inductions, and safety training.
- Develop and review risk assessments and maintain monthly HSE reports, records, and statistics.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma, preferably in safety.
- NEBOSH IGC or Level 3 equivalent health and safety certificate.
- Internal auditor certification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, preferably through an IRCA-registered course.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with Intelex, Synergi-life, or Mango HSE software.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
