Job Description
The HSE Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental programs in Riyadh.
The role supports compliance with Saudi Arabia regulations and international HSE standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Investigate incidents and accidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform safety audits and inspections.
- Prepare HSE documentation, records, and regulatory reports.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs.
- Integrate HSE practices into daily operational activities.
- Monitor safety metrics and identify improvement areas.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and drills.
- Monitor changes in Saudi HSE regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HSE Engineer or in a similar occupational health and safety role.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabia labor laws, HSE regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of ISO 45001, OSHA, or equivalent international HSE frameworks.
- Expertise in risk assessment, hazard analysis, and incident investigation.
- Proficiency in safety management systems, HSE software, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, oil and gas, or construction sectors is preferred.
- Knowledge of environmental management systems and sustainability practices is preferred.
