The HSE Engineer owns health, safety, and environmental delivery for operations and maintenance at a live drainage treatment plant.
The role supports plant operations, planned maintenance, shutdowns, contractor control, and process safety.
What you'll do
- Operate the Permit to Work system for confined-space, hot-work, energized, and pressurized tasks.
- Author and maintain risk assessments and method statements for maintenance activities.
- Control contractors during planned maintenance and shutdown windows, verifying competency, isolation, and method statements.
- Run HSE inspections and audits across plant areas and report findings to plant management.
- Investigate incidents to root cause, produce corrective action plans, and oversee chemical handling and chlorine dosing safety.
What you bring
- Ashghal project experience in drainage treatment plant operations and maintenance is required.
- Strong working knowledge of confined space entry, Permit to Work, LOTO, gas monitoring, and H2S controls is required.
- Hands-on capability in HSE inspections, audits, and contractor safety control is required.
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis experience, including shutdown and turnaround safety, is required.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- At least 8 years of experience is required.
- Three years of water treatment plant experience is preferred.

- The work location is in person in Qatar.
