Role Overview
Oversee daily housekeeping operations in a five-star luxury hotel.
Lead housekeeping team members while maintaining guest satisfaction, efficiency, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign daily tasks to room attendants, cleaners, and other housekeeping staff.
- Train and mentor team members on cleaning techniques, procedures, safety, and guest service.
- Monitor performance, provide feedback, and address service-quality issues.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Verify rooms meet standards for linens, toiletries, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain adequate stocks of linens, cleaning products, and guest amenities.
- Order supplies with the housekeeping manager within budget limits.
- Respond to housekeeping requests and resolve guest complaints.
- Ensure staff follow hotel policies, chemical-handling procedures, and safety protocols.
- Report maintenance issues to the maintenance team.
- Create daily cleaning schedules and room assignments.
- Maintain task and inventory records, assist with reports and evaluations, and attend departmental meetings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 3-5 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury or five-star hotel, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
