Job Description

  • We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Hostess to join our hospitality team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
  • As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming and organized experience from the moment they arrive.
  • This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone calls within three rings using proper salutations and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Record, confirm, and manage restaurant reservations and cancellations in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Communicate reservation and cancellation changes to management promptly as they occur throughout your shift.
  • Greet guests warmly at the restaurant entrance and seat them according to the floor plan while ensuring fairness to all service staff.
  • Review the reservation book, pre assign designated tables, and follow up on all special guest requests.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked hostess stand with menus and check folders.
  • Present menus to guests and ensure they are satisfied with their assigned table.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times and address any concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of restaurant services, amenities, and activities to respond accurately to guest inquiries.
  • Monitor your assignments to ensure compliance with departmental standards and operational excellence.
  • Multitask effectively while maintaining composure and efficiency during peak service periods.

Qualifications

  • Cooperate and comply with Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island in regards to OSH instructions and safe working procedures.
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves, environment and others at work.
  • Do not adversely interfere with anything provided for OSH.
  • Do not interfere adversely with anything in place to control OSH risks.
  • Cooperate with organization with respect to actions and or action taken to protect the employee/ OSH requirements.
  • Follow OSHMS procedures as applicable.
  • Raise identified OSH issues with designated persons and take part in OSH consultative OSH requirements.
  • Report all near miss/ hazard/ unsafe/ conditions or act.
  • Use appropriate PPE and safety systems.
  • Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • Attend OSH training as required by the training needs analysis.
  • Maintain all OSHMS records as required by the Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island.
