Job Summary
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for creating a warm welcome and positive dining experience.
The role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for exceptional guest service in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise guest flow.
- Assist guests with enquiries about the menu, specials and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area.
- Communicate with kitchen staff and waitstaff to support timely service.
- Handle phone calls professionally and demonstrate excellent phone etiquette.
- Provide assistance during busy periods to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage positively with guests and team members are required.
- A background in guest services or hotel operations is advantageous.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is crucial.
