- π’ We Are Hiring \| Head of Marine (Compliance & MWS)
- This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving marine assurance, compliance, incident investigation, offshore operational safety, and marine execution excellence across complex offshore spreads and marine operations.
- πΉ Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Marine Assurance, Compliance & Vessel Surveillance programs
- Manage marine incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Establish marine execution standards and best practices across major offshore projects
- Support offshore risk assessments and marine operational safety initiatives
- Coordinate with project teams, offshore operations, vessel owners, contractors, and third parties
- Oversee marine compliance with international maritime regulations, classification standards, and company procedures
- Support marine unit selection, vendor prequalification, and operational optimization
- Promote a proactive safety culture and industry-leading marine safety practices
- Act as Contract Representative for MWS & Marine Consultancy contracts
- πΉ Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in Marine Engineering, Marine Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent
Or
- Master Mariner / Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (STCW II/2 or III/2)
- πΉ Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of seagoing experience including service as Master or Chief Engineer
- Strong background managing offshore marine spreads within the oil & gas industry
- Extensive experience with offshore construction vessels, heavy lift operations, pipe/cable lay, jack-up barges, DSVs, and marine assurance systems
- Strong understanding of international maritime regulations, DP operations, IMCA standards, and offshore risk management
- Previous Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) or marine consultancy experience is highly advantageous

- Proficiency in marine compliance and offshore operational safety
