Overview

  • We are looking for a Head of Communications and Influence for a new JV start up.
  • This role is a senior strategic role responsible for shaping public perception, driving brand narrative, and building industry authority.
  • This leading role will oversee internal and external messaging, media relations, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement to ensure all communication touchpoints align with the organization’s overarching goal.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated communications and influence strategies aligned with business objectives, growth targets, and market expansion plans.
  • Utilize audience, market, and sentiment data to optimize communications strategies and improve performance.
  • Build and maintain a high value network of media, government, industry, and influencer relationships across the UAE and GCC.
  • Monitor media performance, share of voice, audience reach, engagement, and sentiment to evaluate effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Develop compelling brand narratives and executive thought leadership programs that strengthen market positioning and stakeholder trust.
  • Secure high impact speaking opportunities, interviews, industry recognition, and editorial placements for senior executives.
  • Lead the management of media inquiries, stakeholder concerns, and sensitive communications issues with speed, professionalism, and strategic judgment.
  • Develop crisis communications frameworks, response protocols, and risk monitoring systems to proactively manage reputational threats.
  • Design and implement employee communications strategies that drive engagement, alignment, and understanding of company objectives.
  • Measure internal communications effectiveness through employee engagement surveys, communication reach, participation rates, and sentiment analysis.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Commercial, HR, Legal, and Public Affairs teams to ensure consistency across all communications channels.
  • Support employer branding, corporate reputation, business development, and strategic partnership initiatives through integrated communications planning.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs, or a related field, with proven experience leading teams and delivering measurable communications outcomes.
  • Established network of media, industry, government, and influencer contacts across the GCC/Middle East, with a proven ability to drive visibility and influence conversations.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, editing, and storytelling skills. Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is a plus.
  • Strong ability to manage media, executive, and stakeholder inquiries with professionalism, discretion, and responsiveness.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and confidence in advising and influencing C suite executives and key stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
