Role Overview
A growing Indian and Modern Indian catering and events business in Dubai is seeking a hands-on Head Chef.
The Head Chef will own catering kitchen operations and event food execution.
The role is based in Business Bay, Dubai, approximately 10 minutes' walk from the metro.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary is AED 9,000–11,000 per month.
- Visa and medical insurance are provided.
- Accommodation is not provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily kitchen operations, preparation, and production.
- Plan food production for catering events based on menus, guest numbers, and service requirements.
- Lead canapé, buffet, and live-station events, including on-site execution.
- Manage ordering, inventory, food cost, portion control, and wastage.
- Maintain consistent taste, quality, presentation, and recipe standards.
- Train and supervise the kitchen team and maintain efficient workflow.
- Maintain HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance standards.
- Support menu development, recipe standardization, and production planning.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef is required.
- Strong Indian or Modern Indian cuisine expertise is required.
- Catering, banqueting, or large-scale event experience is required.
- The candidate must independently manage high-volume food production and event execution.
- Strong knowledge of food costing, inventory, ordering, and wastage control is required.
- UAE experience is preferred.
- The candidate must be comfortable working on-site at events and owning the process through final service.
Workplace
- The role requires in-person work and on-site event execution in Dubai.
