What you’ll be doing
Transport containers and freight safely and efficiently between wharf, depot, and customer sites
Inspect containers and freight before leaving site, reporting any damage and ensuring proper documentation is acknowledged
Verify seal numbers and report any discrepancies before departure
Follow all company OH&S and WH&S procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Operate vehicles responsibly, adhering to road laws and site-specific instructions at all times
Maintain your assigned vehicle and equipment, including basic upkeep like greasing trailers
Report any mechanical issues promptly to the Transport Manager
Assist with container unpacking when required, using safe manual handling practices
Handle delivery paperwork and documentation as needed
What you’ll need
Valid HC Licence (essential)
Strong understanding of wharf and transport operations
Commitment to safety, compliance, and professionalism
Ability to work independently and follow procedures
Good communication skills and attention to detail
Additional licences highly regarded
Experience with hydraulic operated sideloaders
