About the Role
Hitachi Energy is hiring a Global Solution Sales Manager for Distribution Automation to drive global sales growth of automation solutions for electrical distribution networks. The role requires a technical B2B sales background in power systems or grid automation, with experience leading global or multi-region sales.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global go to market strategy for Distribution Automation solutions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across regions and market segments
- Take ownership of global DA solution sales targets (orders, revenues, margins)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with critical customers and strategic partners on a global scale
- Promote a consultative sales approach and propose value driven, customized DA solutions
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to regional and local sales teams worldwide
- Leverage the Distribution Automation CoE in Europe for pre sales technical support and solution development
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management/R&D, and Project Delivery/Supply Chain functions
- Define and execute a global channel strategy specific to Distribution Automation solutions
- Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and regional market dynamics
- Provide leadership and mentorship to direct or virtual team members
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, or related field
- Minimum 5 7 years in technical B2B sales or business development
- 5+ years in a leadership role driving global or multi region sales
- Prior experience in power systems, grid automation, or industrial automation solution sales
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing major accounts or global initiatives
- Strong understanding of Distribution Automation technologies (feeder automation, SCADA/DMS, protection relays, RTUs, communication networks)
- Familiarity with smart grid concepts, OT/IT convergence, and digital substation solutions
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language
- MBA or equivalent business education is a plus
- Arabic is a plus

Your Background
