About the Role
Anantara at Banana Island Resort Doha is hiring a General Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair MEP systems, lighting, HVAC, and other hotel facilities. The role requires experience in painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment
- Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action
- Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Inspect, clean, maintain and repair all MEP system available at the premises
- Maintain all lighting throughout hotel
- Maintain all HVAC units
- Troubleshoot and repair all equipment that is non operational
- Do all work orders pertaining to the hotel
- Answer all calls and do repairs; if unable, notify duty engineer
- Maintain reading of utility meters and report any deviation
- Daily walk around on all plant rooms, workshop and report any deviation
- Take daily engineering operation checklist to ensure equipment working in good condition
Requirements
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Previous experience with painting, plumbing, electrical wiring and other related experience is an asset
- Previous experience with pool and spa is an asset
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Enthusiastic and dependable
- Active listening
- A self starter, take initiative, can make decisions in fast paced, changing environment
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Proficient in English (verbal & written), second language is an asset
- Customer service skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills

Job Description
