General Practitioner (GP)- Dentistry (Open for all Nationalities)

Role Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct examinations, document histories, assess oral health, and establish diagnoses.
• Assess patient medical fitness and identify procedural risks, contraindications, or consultation needs.
• Perform preventive care, scaling, restorations, and other approved general dental procedures.
• Provide treatment instructions and follow-up care.
• Refer patients requiring specialized care to appropriate dental specialists.
• Explain treatment options and obtain valid informed consent.
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, prevention, compliance, and long-term oral health.
• Supervise MOHAP compliance and adherence to professional, infection-control, and legal requirements.
• Support approved marketing, promotional, patient-awareness, and clinic reputation activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A BDS or equivalent dental degree is required.
• A valid MOHAP license or eligibility letter to practice as a General Dentist is required.
• DHA or HAAD license holders must obtain MOHAP licensure.
• At least three years of clinical experience is required.
• Postgraduate training, certification, or documented experience in a recognized dental discipline is advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong diagnostic, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making skills are required.
• Knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, patient safety, and clinical risk management is required.
• Knowledge of dental materials, instruments, and equipment is required.
• Excellent patient communication and counselling abilities are required.
• Proficiency in electronic dental records is required; DentiMax Software experience is preferred.
• Collaboration, professionalism, empathy, ethical conduct, confidentiality, and continuous learning are expected.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a dental clinical environment.
• The role may involve exposure to blood, saliva, sharps, chemicals, radiographic equipment, and other occupational hazards.
• The role requires compliance with infection control, occupational safety, radiation safety, and personal protective equipment requirements.
