Summary

  • The ideal candidate for the Accounts Assistant position will provide administrative and financial support to the Accounts Manager, ensuring payments and expenditures are monitored, documented, and processed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for day to day processing of all purchase invoices, ensuring invoices are checked and prices are correct.
  • Ensure invoices are authorized for payment by relevant department managers and matched to purchase orders where applicable.
  • Record invoices on MS Dynamics GP using appropriate account codes and post payments appropriately.
  • Organize payment runs, scan invoices, and prepare cheques for mailing.
  • Deal with all inquiries related to invoices/payments via telephone and email.
  • Set up new supplier accounts and amend existing supplier details.
  • Handle and reconcile daily cash ups (petty cash management).
  • Perform administrative duties such as typing, photocopying, filing, and printing.
  • Perform account reconciliations and identify and correct accounting errors.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role and preferably similar industry.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Excel and accounting software.
  • Accounting qualification would be advantageous (ACCA, CA or equivalent level).
  • Meticulous eye for detail and exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and a practical approach to problem solving.
  • Positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Tagalog language proficiency required.
