Key Responsibilities
- Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare bank, supplier, customer, and other account reconciliations.
- Process invoices, expense claims, payments, and receipts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow reports.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue customer and supplier payments.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
- Maintain complete, accurate, confidential accounting records.
- Support UAE VAT calculations, VAT returns, corporate tax compliance, and tax filings.
- Assist external auditors with schedules and supporting documents.
- Resolve discrepancies, accounting errors, and unusual transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Typically 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
- Experience with Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or a similar accounting system.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency, including formulas, PivotTables, and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical ability, organization, and problem solving.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- UAE experience is an advantage.
