Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
  • Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare bank, supplier, customer, and other account reconciliations.
  • Process invoices, expense claims, payments, and receipts.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue customer and supplier payments.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with UAE VAT calculations, returns, and documentation.
  • Support corporate tax compliance and tax filing information requests.
  • Assist external auditors and provide schedules and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate with management, banks, suppliers, customers, auditors, and other departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Typically two to five years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
  • Experience with Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar systems.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and financial reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical ability, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
