Job Description

  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in maximizing room sales and revenue; prepare guest name lists; prepare for guest arrivals and departures; greet and address guests by name upon check in and check out; assist guests with transportation, luggage, payment; escort guests to rooms; inform Guest Service

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Check and ensure job assigned has been effectively completed on timely basis and according to hotel’s expectation.
  • Conduct daily briefing and de briefing in the absence of immediate supervisor.
  • Recommend corrective actions for unfavorable variances in job standards and budget commitment.
  • Propose effective duty to ensure sufficiency of manpower in accordance to volume of business.
  • Establish two way communication within and related departments.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, subordinates, immediate supervisors and other section heads.
  • Prepare volume of business counts and revenue report for the concerned section.
  • Attend briefing and departmental meetings or as assigned by supervisor.
  • Manage time effectively by meeting deadlines on time.
  • Administer personnel action on leaves & overtime requests, disciplinary actions and commendation as assigned.
  • Identify and solve problems in a professional manner.
  • Assist others to ensure operation runs smoothly and effectively.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Know and understand job description of all positions in the department and be able to perform tasks as required.
  • Know and understand policies of the department well and guide others to perform the job well.
  • Recognize good quality products and presentation.
  • Check and improve all service standards established by the company.
  • Supervise staff activities to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
  • Provide assistance to staff when required during peak periods.
  • Maintain grooming standards for all personnel.
  • Conserve energy and water at all times without decreasing guest comfort and cleaning efficiency.
  • Manage wastes by reducing and recycling, change staff behavior to carefully use all resources.
  • Know requisition point and par stock of products used in the department such as guest supplies, paper supplies.

Commercial Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with guest, clients, business partners and staff.
  • Be a good sales person to promote hotel’s image and businesses.
  • Participate in community projects or activities to promote hotel’s image and cooperation to improve community relationship.

Human Resources Responsibilities

  • Coach and counsel all staff when applicable.
  • Evaluate objectively the performance of staff in his/her responsibilities.
  • Provide training to all staff in his/her department regularly.
  • Motivate staff to grow within the company.
  • Develop him/herself to be better supervisor/manager at all times.

Relationship

  • Reports to Unit Manager concerned.
  • Directs and supervises activities of subordinates.
  • Coordinates with all concerned personnel to ensure that all activities are accomplished.

Others

  • Continuous learning through own IDP.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.
