Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high quality pastries and desserts according to hotel standards.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the pastry section.
  • Properly store ingredients and monitor stock levels.
  • Work efficiently with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Follow recipes, portion control, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in developing new pastry items and seasonal menu offerings when required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) or Commis I – Pastry in a hotel or fine dining establishment.
  • Experience in pastry and dessert preparation is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
