Job Description

What You Will Do

• Design and operate applications integrating large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent-based workflows.
• Embed in customer projects to understand business processes, technical environments, and operational challenges.
• Translate requirements into robust architectures balancing speed, quality, security, and maintainability.
• Prototype and productionize solutions in customer environments.
• Own delivery from problem framing through deployment, observability, production operations, and handover.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering, evaluation frameworks, and architectural guardrails.
• Manage milestones, quality standards, risks, and technical escalations.
• Communicate solution approaches, trade-offs, and progress to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute engineering standards, reusable components, and best practices.

What You Bring

• Extensive hands-on experience in software and application engineering for cloud-native, enterprise, and SaaS environments.
• Strong knowledge of scalability, security, and reliability principles.
• Proven ability to deliver AI-native applications using large language models, RAG, vector databases, and agentic systems.
• Strong proficiency in AI and machine learning Python libraries, with exposure to data pipelines and MLOps.
• Ability to integrate agentic AI into complex business processes responsibly.
• Ability to mentor teams and establish engineering guardrails and best practices.
• Experience owning solutions across design, implementation, deployment, and production operations.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders.
• Exposure to SAP AI Core, Vectorization, Joule Studio, RPT-1, or Business Data Cloud is advantageous.

Work Context
