Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the crew daily and work alongside workers on installation or assembly.
• Assign tasks to workers and monitor their output and workmanship.
• Check alignment, level, plumb, and gaps before securing work.
• Ensure materials, tools, and consumables are ready for each shift.
• Flag drawing errors or site clashes to the Site Supervisor or Engineer immediately.
• Train and mentor junior workers and new hires on the job.
• Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards in the immediate work area.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or technical certification in a related trade, or an accepted vocational or apprenticeship background as a glazier, façade installer, aluminium fabricator, or carpenter.
• At least four years of experience in façade, glazing, cladding, or aluminium joinery installation.
• At least two years leading a small crew or acting as a lead hand on site or in a workshop.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of aluminium profile cutting, framing, hardware fitting, and gasket installation.
• Strong knowledge of glass handling, setting, and sealing using structural silicone, gaskets, and tapes.
• Ability to read shop drawings, elevation marks, and detail sheets.
• Ability to set out, level, and square frames on site.
• Basic ability to use laser levels, spirit levels, and measuring tapes.
• Understanding of anchors, brackets, and interfaces with concrete or steel.
• Knowledge of glass types, aluminium finishes, and sealants.
• Basic record keeping for daily labour reports, material usage, and snag notes.

Compensation

• Salary: AED 3,000 to AED 4,500 per month.
