The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the hotel’s restaurants, banquets, room service, and other outlets to ensure exceptional guest experiences in line with five-star luxury standards.
This role involves leading a team of service team members, maintaining the highest levels of service quality, cleanliness, and efficiency while contributing to revenue goals and cost control.
It is not the intent of this Job Description to cover all aspects of the position but to highlight the most important areas of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead front-of-house team members during shifts, including servers, hosts, and banquet teams, ensuring adherence to luxury service protocols and five-star standards.
- Ensures new F&B team members are well-trained and motivated / feeling of being welcome.
- Ensures a smooth running of the F&B operations.
- Ensures a thorough handover between shifts.
- Ensures effective inter-departmental communication with Kitchen and other relevant departments,
- Well planned and executed preparations before and during the service, e.g., preparing tables and polish cutlery.
- Managing the stock and supplies in the restaurant and ensured orders are being made in time to avoid running out of linen, glasswork etc.
- To control costs through correct stock usage, rotation, ordering, minimizing wastage, forecasting and managing workload, in conjunction with the F&B Manager.
- Drive revenue through different upselling programmes.
- Follows correct reporting procedures if faced with issues.
- Ensure all standard checklists / task list are completed each shift.
- Effective prevention, recovery, and investigation of any guest complaints.
- To strive to anticipate guest needs whenever possible and react to these to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the service delivery is consistent and in line the brand SOPs and service culture.
- Ensure the team has knowledge of the F&B products.
- Ensures compliance with Health & security, fire regulations and food safety as per company standard and legislation.
- Ensure correct cash handling and credit card handling as per company standards / policy.
- Ensure correct closure paperwork is done.
- Follows the Health & Safety and food hygiene standards as trained.
- Ensures proper appearance and grooming of the team while on duty.
- Monitors operating supplies, equipment and reduces spoilage and wastage successfully.
- Ensure that the team are punctual, polite, courteous, and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times.
- Complies with company brand standards.
- Any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
- Ensure the proper appearance and grooming of assigned colleagues.
- Ensure proper security procedures are in place regarding the opening and closing of the outlets on a daily basis, reviewing the check lists to identify issues.

Experience Needed

Requirements And Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage service, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role within a luxury or five-star hotel/resort.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or related field preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of fine dining service techniques, wine and beverage pairings, and international cuisine.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and composure under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in POS systems, Microsoft Office, and hospitality software.
- Certification in food safety.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Impeccable personal presentation and fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and navigate multi-level outlets
