About the Role

  • Carry out transactional Supply Chain functions and act as the Front face of Supply Chain to support Maintenance tasks.
  • Procure spares, components, complex assy., tools to support aircraft maintenance activities in Qatar Airways Technical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive Aircraft Materials Requisitions (AMR’s), review price catalogues, call for quotes from other approved sources and negotiate for best price, minimum delivery lead time on purchase, loan or exchange basis.
  • Prepare different types of orders including Purchase Orders, Exchange Orders and Loan Orders in coordination with concern stakeholders.
  • Ensures to get correct DOA approval as per total order value and accordingly release order to concern approved supplier.
  • Fleet Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for supplier selection providing best price, minimum delivery lead time from Register of Approved Companies.
  • Ensure all shelf life items are procured from fresh stock with a minimum of 80 % SL remaining.
  • Make sure to receive order acknowledgement from supplier within 7 days from order release and follow up regularly with suppliers to ensure overall overdue orders should not exceed beyond 5%.
  • Expedite overdue orders, potential shortage, MDD item orders with Manufacturers/Vendors/Suppliers to ensure supply is made to support operations and mitigate the risk of spares non availability.
  • Monitor un fulfilled loan and exchange orders, process the exchange out & loan return transactions and make sure that units are getting delivered to supplier within the stipulated time frame.
  • Communicate and Provide support for Light and Heavy Maintenance events and interact with relevant stakeholders to meet service expectations.
  • Consult and liaise with the aircraft / component manufacturer and repair agencies regarding technical data to resolve or clarify issues related to the parts used during repairs of aircraft parts, tooling and other materials.
  • Management of units in accordance with QR policy, which are declared “Beyond Economical Repair” units (BER) or technically not repairable by supplier.
  • Keep liaison between accounts payable team, stores quality team to monitor and close outstanding invoices and discrepancy units within 10 days after notification.

Qualifications

  • High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job related experience.
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job related experience.
  • Fluent in English language, computer literate and good negotiating skills.
  • Good knowledge and exposure of Computer system.
  • Ability to understand Parts Certification, Technical Publications, Vendor Manuals, and TPM.
  • Familiar with EASA, FAA and QCAA regulations.
  • Team Work and Relationship Building.
  • Good persistent communicator and capable of handling multi tasks often under pressure and with minimal supervision.
